breakfast in broome

One of the things I love to do while on holidays is to take advantage of hotel's and resort's complimentary buffet breakfasts. Sure, they've got a hit and miss reputation, but when they're good, they're real good!
I've never been to today's fantasy destination, Broome, and I'd love to go, but not quite as much as I love this little holiday outfit. The braided sandals would be perfect for walking from beach to beach and the printed singlet has just the right amount of kitschy cool.

Spring has officially sprung and it's brought with it a whole bucket-load of new season style finds. My sun-dress wish-list is already off the charts, which is a cause of concern for my bank balance, perhaps, but I cannot describe how much joy I get just from browsing new season releases. As I'm sure you may have already worked out, I just can't get enough!
Frockoholics is a fabulous Australian online store with boundless designer, style and budget range choices. I've included one or two pieces from their site in the past, but today's choice is the hero of today's "day-dream outfit". This day dress has stolen my heart for it's chic yet retro vibe, delicious cut and colours and above all, that bold statement print. It's made from natural cotton voile, has a drawstring waist for ultra comfortability and is the hot-off-the-runway midi-length, sure to flatter most if not all body shapes.
Fun fact about Lisbon, Portugal? If you are invited to a Portuguese home for dinner, bring flowers, good quality chocolates or treats to the hostess. Just make sure you don't choose red flowers, since red is the symbol of the revolution. How about that. You learn something new everyday.

Mixing prints is officially the trickiest trend of the season and you can expect to hear much more about this from me in the weeks to come. For now, enjoy this little teaser demonstrating how florals and animal prints can actually work together to create epic fierceness. The trick here is not to put these opposing prints right next to each other. Don't believe me? Keep scrolling for the beautiful example Rachel Bilson gave us earlier in the week with her gorgeous leopard pumps and sweet as pie floral blouse.

studying in berlin

I've never actually completed any of my many attempts at tertiary education, the most recent example is the Masters Of Accounting that I abandoned after an intensive care induced epiphany which made me realise that the world of small cubicles and numbers was not for me.
My dream is to one day complete formal training in fashion design and production. Berlin has some of the most well renowned universities in Europe and is apparently quite nice this time of year... Hey, a girl can dream!

I'm getting pretty darn excited about Spring's imminent arrival and the endless pairs of new season shorts hitting my inbox of late is high on the list of likely causes for this recent peak in excitement. Being a person who shivers at 18 degrees is another good hypothesis. Alas, we're not quite there yet which is why this outfit inspiration had me daydreaming of Miami, strolling along the boardwalks, where it's delightfully warm all year round, right?
The waterfall feature on these flirty and fun pair of TopShop printed shorts have warmed my heart, which will have to be enough for now.
